With honor and remembrance, Capital AHEC presents the Thomas L. Tucker Scholarship to carry on the legacy of supporting underrepresented students in pursuit of a career in healthcare.
In honor of Mr. Thomas L. Tucker, we at Capital AHEC are organizing this scholarship program for underprivileged students who are looking to enroll in a health education program. Mr. Tucker was a former AHEC board member and champion advocate for students pursuing a career in healthcare. Throughout his experience as a healthcare professional, Mr. Tucker has touched the lives of many as; a psychiatric social worker, a Board Member of Capital AHEC, the deputy director of admissions at VCU, and the Director of the Healthcare Career Opportunities Program with HRSA. Please join us in honoring the Thomas L. Tucker legacy and donate to support a student in need. All scholarships will be made possible thanks to the generosity of donors who support the expansion of a diversified and culturally competent healthcare workforce.
